Katie Ingram - Former Principal
“Kristy Vande Voort is an outstanding trainer. Her sessions are meticulously planned, engagingly delivered, and followed up with remarkable support, ensuring every participant’s success.”

Katie White - Dean of Students
“Ms Vande Voort is, in my opinion, the consummate teacher. I have worked closely with and observed Kristy’s knowledge, skill and dedication in practice. Her energy and drive are admired and emulated by her peers, especially those who work closely with her. I have modelled my own teaching on her understanding of best practice and identify Ms. Vande Voort as one of my most influential mentors.”
Vicki Ritchie
“Lastly, Kristy has very strong leadership skills. When staff members debated about implementing changes at Horace Mann, Kristy raised her hand and asked, “What is best for the students?” She knows this is why we are teaching, and she bases not only her own decisions on this premise, but also encourages those around her to use this as their decision-making foundation.”
Todd Reinke
“Mrs. Vande Voort also makes it well known that she cares about every staff member. I know that no matter how busy she is, Kristy is willing to discuss any issue at any time of the day. Whether it is teaching advice or advice about life in general, she will help in any way possible. Even more important is the fact that Kristy respects the different beliefs and decisions that our staff members have, even if she doesn’t agree with them. She presents her disagreement in a very professional manner, which makes her very approachable and well-respected.
Sharon Jordan
“I have worked with many teachers and staff during my 35 years of teaching, and I can honestly say that Kristy was the person I most valued as a teammate.”
